The Danger of A Single Story

http://www.ted.com/talks/chimamanda_adichie_the_danger_of_a_single_story.html

Let's generate some dialogue around this presentation by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. I choose not suggest a model for dialogue. Just come forth with what emanates from you! Obviously, I am impressed with our African sister! More coming from me and soon!

Ms. Adichie does us the favor of tracing her own learning process about how to avoid submitting to stereotypes of others, and stereotypes of ourselves. She makes it clear that education is a personal project--there's no substitute for serious contemplation.

It's been a long while since investing in my own blog. However, I returned to college the fall of 2008, and was off the fall 2009 semester. I returned in April 2010 and heavily engaged in writing my thesis due the end of July 2010. Be patient with me; and if you would like to leave comments or websites or questions or whatever blends harmoniously with our mission, please do so.

Interaction from males are also welcomed. It brings us balance.

Joyously,

I've taken a look at your site, and it is impressive acknowledging your experience with the traditional medical community. What happened in your situation? Did you shrink your cyst(s) or have surgery? Thanks for sharing with us, please come often.
